
We’re Hiring TWO Summer Community Kids Workers!
Are you a high school graduate looking to lead an unforgettable summer for kids?
We are looking for two Community Kids Workers to join our team for a 9-week term starting as early as June 17th. This role is a unique blend of high-energy event leadership and consistent community engagement.
While the primary focus of this role is the planning and execution of our Kids Day Camp, you will also be an integral part of our weekly programming. This includes leading Sunday morning kids' activities, participating in community outreach, and facilitating local events. You will work as a collaborative duo to ensure every child and family has a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience.
Kids Day Camp:
Help plan, prepare, and execute a week-long Kids Day Camp.
Assist with creating activities, games, and lessons for the camp.
Coordinate with volunteers and support day-of logistics.
Weekly Programming:
Assist with weekly Sunday programming for children, from setup to tear down.
Help prepare teaching materials, crafts, and activities.
Engage with children and parents, helping create a warm, welcoming environment.
Outreach & Community:
Support and staff community-facing events and outreach initiatives throughout the summer.
Assist with event setup, greet families, and engage kids with fun activities.
Administration:
Help with administrative tasks like record-keeping, volunteer coordination, and communication with families.
Assist in organizing resources, maintaining supply inventories, and updating databases.
Term: 9 weeks (June 17th - August 18th)
30 hours per week with flexibility for events and gatherings
Location: Calgary, AB
Reports to: Pastor of Kids and Youth
Must be between 18 and 30 years of age.
Minimum of a high school diploma.
Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check (obtained within the last 3 months) is mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with children.
Flexibility to work Sunday mornings as part of the weekly schedule.
Tech Proficiency:
Comfortable using digital tools for organization, communication, and program delivery.
Asset:
Being a self-starter who can take initiative on projects is a significant asset.
